Urban Indicators for China’s Townization: a pilot study in Taizhou

Development of a cross-section of indicators for measurement, monitoring and management of townships in Taizhuo, china, towards more sustainable futures and quality of life. Indicator domains addressed concerns in economic activity, environmental performance, social equity and physical habitability. Measures were down largely from available data. Including, longitudinally, between 200 and 2014. Pilot applications were made in two towns with different profiles. They were: Zeguo and Chumen. Broader application was made to 24 within Taizhou in close collaborate with the Townization Development and Data Research Institute.
