Creating A Non-profit Urban Research Institute

Initial formulation of a non-profit organization within the Calxon corporate group for the purposes of addressing research issues in China’s New Townization Policy. In particular, the non-profit organization was cast in the role of data gathering, data analysis and empirically- based urban planning research. As such it became called the Townization Development Data Research Institute and was deliberately positioned to advance verifiable, rational understanding of China’s Townization activities. Representative of several stake holders, including Calxon, the organization was chartered in Beijing and began operation in 2014.
